Carlee graduated from Texas Lutheran University in May of 2020 with a master’s in accounting and a bachelor’s in business administration. While at Texas Luthern, she volunteered with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) – a program that aids in preparing local community members’ basic tax returns free of charge. Carlee also served as a graduate teaching assistant for accounting principles and principles of audit at the university. She was a recipient of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants Education Foundation scholarship – an award given to students with an exemplary GPA who are pursuing a profession in public accounting. Carlee is currently pursuing her CPA licensure. Even with these many impressive accomplishments, Carlee still made time to marry the man of her dreams in June of 2020!
When Carlee was 12, she wanted to be a marine biologist to swim with dolphins. Instead, she’s heading down the accountant path and says that’s okay because she got to swim with them during a trip to Mexico. Her perfect vacation is anywhere warm, near water, and surrounded by family. But the locale must be pet friendly because Carlee and her husband are parents to Nova. Sweet Nova even spent the day at ATKG as part of our Furry Friends Friday program. We’ve decided…we like having Carlee AND Nova around!
