Kim joined the ATKG team as a Summer Intern in 2013, and we liked her so much that we decided to keep her! To our delight, Kim accepted a permanent position at ATKG on the October 15th deadline, which gave us one more great thing to celebrate at our deadline party that evening!
Kim graduated Magna Cum Laude (and in the Honors Program) with her BBA in accounting from St. Mary’s University in the Spring of 2013. She stuck with her alma mater for graduate school and graduated with her MBA in the Summer of 2014. She then obtained her CPA license in August 2016.
During her time as an undergraduate, Kim was a very busy woman. She published an academic research paper in a leading accounting research journal, won a bunch of awards, and somehow also found time for work and community service! Kim began her accounting career working in the communications industry, gaining experience in general ledger accounting.
If Kim weren’t busy enough, she also has many hobbies and interests. One of her favorite things is to try out fun new recipes. Coincidentally, one of OUR favorite things to do is eat fun new dishes! She also loves to stay in shape and enjoys trying a variety of workout activities, including running, biking, and even the occasional aerial yoga class. Kim also loves listening to music and attending concerts, especially Texas country music. She enjoys rocking her cowboy boots and two-stepping around the dance floor. Her biggest pet peeve is improper grammar because she says she’s a nerd. Fortunately, in an office full of nerds – or at least cool nerds — she fits right in!
